1. Overview

MSMECalc ("we", "us") provides a web application for calculating and disclosing interest on delayed payments to MSME suppliers under the MSMED Act, 2006. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website at msmecalc.in (or any subdomain/alias).

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: Email address when you register or sign in via Magic Link or Google OAuth.
• Company data: Company name, PAN, address, and financial year details you enter to use the app.
• Vendor and billing data: MSME vendor names, Udyam registration numbers, bill amounts, due dates, and payment records you enter.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and browser/device information (via standard server logs).
• Calculator inputs: Values entered in the free calculator are not stored or linked to any account.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the MSMECalc service.
• To authenticate you and secure your account.
• To generate reports and calculations you request.
• To communicate service updates, billing, and security notices.
• To improve the product using aggregated, anonymous usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or business data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS in the ap-south-1 (Mumbai) region. Row Level Security (RLS) ensures each user can only access their own company's data. Connections are encrypted via TLS. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled via magic link email or Google OAuth.

5. Cookies and Advertising

We use cookies solely for authentication (Supabase session cookies). Free tier users may see contextual advertisements served by Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies and device identifiers to show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised ads via Google Ad Settings. Pro subscribers see no advertisements.

6. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We never store card details.
• Google AdSense — advertising on the free tier.
• Resend — transactional email (magic link delivery, admin alerts).
• Vercel — hosting and edge delivery.

Each service is governed by its own privacy policy.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us (see Section 9). Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data.
• Export your data (bills, vendors, reports) at any time from the app.
